Faber : Stocks & Bonds will go down at the same time
Inflation is an increase in the quantity of money and credit. The symptoms occur in a variety of forms. You can print money in the US, but it could happen that it does not boost economic activity in the US but only in China or in Vietnam or Indian and so forth. It can boost wages in India, it can boost real estate prices in London, and so forth, because we have a global economy. Stating there is no inflation is an error.
In case things turn out bad again, the central bankers have one thing left: money. When they start throwing out money, it will lead to price increases. Nobody can deny that anywhere in the world energy prices are substantially higher than they were ten years ago. Nobody can deny that food prices are up. Nobody in the US can deny that insurance premiums are up. So, to throw money at the system, at some point will lead to some more visible (!) pressure on consumer prices. Stocks has basically done nothing since the beginning of the year. But long term bonds are up 12% this year. Now, during the next downturn, I believe stocks and bonds will go down at the same time. - in a recent CNBC interview

Marc Faber : Stocks are by-and-large fully priced
“I think the market is way overdue for a 20 to 30 percent correction,”
“nothing worries me… In fact, I’m hoping for the market to drop 40 percent so stocks will again become—from a value point of view—attractive.”
“But that is not the view of someone who is fully invested—obviously not.”
“Stocks are by-and-large fully priced”
“I think the experience with quantitative easing is a complete failure. It has lifted asset prices and created asset inflation, but it hasn’t lifted the standard of living of most people in the U.S. nor worldwide.”
On the chance of a bounce (and what next?)
“If the rebound fails around 1,820 [on the S&P 500] and then the market starts to drift again on the downside, and we see important shares for the market such as General Motors, GE, MMM, Coke … failing to make new highs, then I think we can assume that something more serious is in the offing.”

Stocks & Real Estate are better than Cash
I
would imagine that real estate is relatively safe because it’s widely
owned by a large portion of the population. It may go down in value and
it may be taxed away but it’s feasibly safe.
If
you look at Germany in 1928, the large and the more stable companies
from Siemens to whatever it is, say, BASF, they survived. And so you
were better off in stocks in the long run to wars and hyperinflation
than in cash and bonds.

Only 10 or 50 very strong Stocks can drive the Market higher
“The only way this market can go up is if the 10 or 50 stocks that are very strong continue to drive the market higher, with the majority of stocks having actually peaked out,” Marc Faber told CNBC recently .

Marc Faber : No Rush To Buy Emerging Markets Stocks
Investment Guru Marc Faber says that one should be selling emerging markets when the foreigners are heavy buyers and vice versa. "So investment banks turning negative on India is indeed a positive for country," he says, adding that US may outperform EMs.

Marc Faber: Stocks could fall 20% to 30%... easily
"If you believe that [Bernanke] means what he says," explains Gloom, Boom, and Doom's Marc Faber to a spell-bound Trish Regan on Bloomberg TV, "then you believe in Father Christmas."
Simply put, Faber adds, "we are going to see QE99," and while he notes that equities, bonds, and gold are "very oversold," he would "rather buy bonds and gold than equities."
From his views on Laszlo Birinyi to inflation, the 'taper', US housing, and China, Faber calmly warns that "the S&P could drop 20-30% from the recent highs - easily."
"The only thing that I know is that I want to own some physical gold because I don't want all of my assets in financial assets." - in Bloomberg

Marc Faber : I haven’t been shorting any US Stocks since 2009
Marc Faber : “I was relatively positive about U.S. stocks since March 2009,” Faber said. “I haven’t any short positions. I haven’t been shorting any stocks since 2009. But the U.S. marches up , consumer confidence marches down, and emerging markets are performing badly relative to the U.S. The dollar is strong indicating a tightening of international liquidity. And so I don’t think that the U.S. market will go up a lot from here I rather think that there’s now considerable downside risk.” - in a recent interview with CNBC

Marc Faber : Stocks move up and they can also move down
Marc Faber : We could easily see 10% correction. We have seen over 30% correction in Apple (AAPL). So it is a reminder that stocks move up and they can also move down. My scenario for 2013 is either the market will make a peak relatively soon which will not be exceeded or we have a correction of a month or two and then another strong rally into August, such as we had in 1987 when the Dow Jones between January 1987 and August 1987 increased by 41%. However, it then lost 40% in two months.
If we had a very strong rally into the summer, as was the case in 1987, I would not then look for a correction. But, I would look for a very significant market decline to follow. However, the more likely scenario is in my view a strong rally into the summer. First, there will be a correction, then this rally and then a more significant top in 2013 which will not be exceeded for a while.- in money control

Marc Faber : Stocks could go ballistic in 2012
Marc Faber: Yes. Credit was growing rapidly and the hangover period could last for a while but these markets are good long-term investments. I travel extensively in these countries and you can see the growth of economic development. People go from bicycles to motorcycles, and from motorcycles to cars. First-time buyers of cars jump socially, as do first-time buyers of homes. Thailand has several consumer-credit companies. Buyers will do everything to pay off their loans. They aren't going to walk away. Plus, bankruptcy laws are tough.
Hedge funds performed badly last year, with few exceptions. Why is that? The bond market was strong, gold was up 11% and the U.S. market was flat, but sectors such as utilities did well. This year the economy could contract and stocks could go ballistic as central banks print money. If investors are diversified, they might do all right. - in The Barron's 2012 Roundtable

Marc Faber recommends Oil Stocks and Mining Companies stocks
Marc Faber I do not think they are great great companies or great great investments but their stocks have corrected down , I believe that in the next six months the economy will look somewhat better , particularly compared to 2009 , because do not forget March 2009 was about the bottom of the recession , and so we are comparing now with very low economic activity a year ago , so the statistics may look somewhat better , and if the western world recovers somewhat combined with the still emerging economies , I think the oil price will rather go up than down and there fore I think that Oil stocks could perform reasonably well by the way also mining companies
